Micro-grinding applications in high precision manufacturing focusing on surface quality
Macháčová, Veronika ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Žídek, Jan (advisor)
The object of this bachelor thesis is to write a research study dealing with micro-grinding technology. Increasing the requirements of components and dimensional accurancy (in micrometer units), further the requirement of high surface quality and the application of a wide range of difficult to process materials has led to the development of this technology as an independent field. The content is overview of the micro-grinding process with its advantages and disadvantages, used tools and their machining, micro-grinding machines and an example of aplication in various areas of industry.
Static Analysis of Structural Elements of Glass
Hořký, Radek ; Gratza, Roman (referee) ; Kytýr, Jiří (advisor)
They analyzed the various factors affecting the design or evaluation of structural glass. Within evaluation of structural glass element is checked selected concepts of linear elastic fracture mechanics. For modeling is used programme system ANSYS based finite element method. The results are compared with the analytical solution.

Application of centrally loaded disk on the three supports for strength evaluation of brittle materials
Chlup, Zdeněk ; Kozák, Vladislav ; Supancic, P.
Development in advanced ceramics and brittle matrix composites enables use of these materials for industrial application irrespective of their brittleness. Obtaining relevant mechanical properties is extremely essential for components design. However, mechanical properties corresponding to the real loading conditions are unknown due to absence of testing procedure providing such results. The proposed "ball on three balls" test is a promising method for biaxial loaded components. Aim of this contribution is to describe advantages and limitations when B3B test is used from both configuration and material point of view. Numerical analysis of three-dimensional model at various loading, geometrical and material conditions was used. Optimal testing conditions were determined and possible errors were identified from error analysis.
